Set Dresser

Working within the art department to dress the set of this short film, alongside other duties.
I worked on creating a bedroom set in 2 different states. The first is the childhood bedroom - this is warm and full of life, belonging to a child with dreams of exploring far and wide. The second state is the bedroom as it is remains, now that the character has moved far away, leaving only a select few belongings behind. The later bedroom is mature and pared-back, missing the liveliness it once had.
I created several graphic props for the set. Two of these were promotional posters for dance and theatre performances which the central character might have had an interest in. Another was a postcard from Manhattan, signifying the character's childhood aspirations to move to America. I also created some children's drawings of imaginary adventures.
